(일반대학원)글로벌지역·언어학과는 국제관계 및 해외지역에 관한 종합적 이론과 지식을 습득하고, 외국어 특히 특수외국어에 관한 능력을 배양함으로써 글로벌 환경을 이해하고 지역 사정에 밝은 글로벌 지역전문가 양성을 교육 목적으로 한다.

 


The Department of Global Area and Language Studies aims to cultivate scholars who systematically and practically understand the global environment by acquiring comprehensive theories and knowledge about international relations and area studies, and cultivating skills in foreign languages, especially critical foreign languages.


전공트랙 (Major Tracks)

글로벌지역학 전공 (국제관계 및 지역연구)

Global Area Studies Major (International Relations and Area Studies)


  • 글로벌지역학 전공은 전통적인 국제관계학 및 국제정치경제학 분야를 비롯하여 글로벌 시대 타문화에 대한 이해와 소통을 위한 세계 각 지역의 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 역사 등에 관한 체계적인 지식을 제공한다.

  • 해외지역 전공 교수진을 중심으로 지중해지역, 중남미지역, 동남아지역, 유럽·아프리카지역에 대한 심도 깊이 강의와 연구 지도를 통해 해외지역 전문가를 양성한다.

  • 글로벌지역학 전공 학생들은 한국연구재단(NRF) 연구지원 사업을 수행하는 지중해지역원, 중남미지역원, 아세안연구원의 차세대연구진 혹은 각종 학술사업에 참여할 기회를 제공한다.


  • Global Area Studies major provides systematic knowledge of politics, economy, society, culture, and history in each region of the world for understanding and communicating other cultures in the global era, including traditional field of international relations and international political economy.

  • Global experts will be trained through in-depth lectures and research guidance on the Mediterranean, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe and Africa, by faculty members who majoring in international area studies.

  • Students majoring in global area studies shall be provided opportunities to participate in junior researcher program or various academic projects from the associated research institutes which carry out research projects sponsored by the National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF).

글로벌언어학 전공 (국제관계 및 지역연구)

Global Language Studies Major


  • 글로벌언어학과 전공은 부산외대의 해외지역학, 개발협력, 그리고 언어학 전공 교수진을 통해 지중해지역, 중남미지역, 동남아지역, 유럽·아프리카지역에 대한 체계적인 지식과 함께 베트남어, 태국어, 인도네시아·말레이시아어, 미얀마어, 캄보디아어, 이탈리어어, 아랍어, 터키어, 인도어 등 특수외국어 능력을 배양한다.

  • 해외지역 및 문화에 관한 체계적 이해를 바탕으로 해당 지역의 언어를 습득하고 심화시켜 통·번역, 해외개발협력, 해외선교 분야의 실무 전문가를 양성한다.

  • 글로벌언어학 전공 학생들은 부산외대에서 교육부의 지원을 받아 운영하는 특수외국어사업단이 제공하는 특수외국어 교육을 위한 해외 유학 및 장학금 수혜의 대상이 된다.


  • Global Language major will cultivate critical foreign language skills such as Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian, Myanmar, Cambodian, Italian, Arabic, Turkish, and Indian etc. along with systematic knowledge of the Mediterranean, Latin American, Southeast Asian, and European and African regions through faculty members who majoring in international area studies, development cooperation, and linguistics.

  • Based on a systematic understanding of international relations and various culture, practical experts in the fields of interpretation and translation, overseas development cooperation, and overseas missionary work are trained by acquiring and deepening the language of the region.

  • Students majoring in global language major will be eligible for overseas study and scholarships for critical foreign language training provided by the Institute for Critical Foreign Language with the support of the Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea.

교육과정 (Course Requirements)

박사과정은 총 36학점, 석사과정은 총 24학점을 이수해야 한다. 전공 선택은 대학원 2차 학기에 결정한다. 일부 제한된 범위 내에서 부산외대 일반대학원 타과 교과목 및 학부 교과목을 대학원 전공학점으로 이수할 수 있다.

석사과정 학생은 논문 트랙과 비논문 트랙을 선택할 수 있으며, 비논문 트랙을 선택한 학생은 추가로 한 학기를 등록하여 6학점을 이수해야 한다.


A total of 36 credits must be completed for the Ph.D. program and a total of 24 credits must be completed for the M.A. program. The choice of major is decided in the second semester of graduate school. Students can be completed with graduate major credit by taking up some subjects from other general graduate programs and undergraduate programs offered in Busan University of Foreign Studies within some limited scope.

M.A. students can choose a thesis track and a non-thesis track, and students who choose a non-thesis track must register for an additional semester to complete 6 unites.

 


경력/진로(Potential Career) 

글로벌지역·언어학과 졸업생은 해외지역전문가로서 대학, 국가기관, 국제기구, NGO, 국책연구소, 해외진출기업 등 다양한 분야에 진출할 수 있다.

글로벌지역·언어학과 학생들은 본 대학원 운영기관에서 발행하는 각 지역별 저명 학술지에 논문 등 학술 성과물을 게재할 수 있다.


Graduates from Global Area and Language studies can advance into various fields such as universities, national or international organization, research institutes, non-governmental organization, and multinational companies as an global area specialist.

Students may publish academic achievements such as articles and thesis in prominent academic journals in each region published by the associated research institutions.
